Document Wizard Invocation from Microsoft® SharePoint
The following examples show how the ActiveDocs Opus Document Wizard can be invoked from Microsoft® SharePoint.
Example 1: Context Menu
If an ActiveDocs Opus Template Folder is mapped to a Microsoft® SharePoint Document Library then any ActiveDocs Opus Templates placed in the folder will appear as entries in the Document Library. In this scenario, a useful approach is to customise the Context Menus on the Document Library so each template can be used via the Document Wizard.

Example 2: Content Type
An typical scenario is a Microsoft® SharePoint Document Library for Sales Proposals, where clicking on the “New Document” option should start a new Sales Proposal using a specified ActiveDocs Opus Template via the Document Wizard. The command which invokes the Document Wizard will typically include an instruction to place the completed document into the same SharePoint library.

Template & Snippet Storage and Retrieval
ActiveDocs Opus allows Templates and Snippets to be stored in and retrieved from locations other than its built-in database, including Microsoft® SharePoint.
ActiveDocs Opus Content Manager allows Template and Snippet Folders to be mapped to these alternative locations.
Document Storage and Retrieval
ActiveDocs Opus allows documents to be stored in and retrieved from locations other than its built-in database, including Microsoft® SharePoint.
Any Microsoft® SharePoint library accessible by the ActiveDocs Opus Composition Server can be nominated as a document repository where documents are sent automatically on completion. Alternative locations may be specified through the use of document compilation in Automated Mode.
Documents sent to a Microsoft® SharePoint library are subsequently managed by Microsoft® SharePoint according to that library’s configuration.
ActiveDocs Opus supports a range of additional Document Storage options which are described here.
