In an independent document automation study published this month, the Technical University of Munich investigated a range of document automation tools used by the legal industry. Their findings show that ActiveDocs continues to be a top provider of document automation software.

The study explored and extensively tested a range of document automation tools, focusing exclusively on software used by legal firms and organizations worldwide. Each solution was assessed in terms of core functionality, and put through a range of scenarios, to determine an overall score.

This was an independent study, with no sponsorship from us or any obligations to partnership, publicity, or promotion. We provided the University with temporary licensing and training; then, alongside our competitors, we awaited the results.

Graph showing that ActiveDocs scored the following in the document automation study: 5/5 for Template Structure; 5/5 for Template Creation; 5/5 for Document Generation; 5/5 for Conditional Logic; 5/5 for Mathematical Formulas; 0.8/5 for Statistical Functions; 5/5 for Documentation; and 4.8/5 for Usability.

ActiveDocs scored full marks for the majority of the tested categories, overtaking our competitors in terms of template structure, template creation, document generation, conditional logic, documentation, and usability. This shows that we’re industry leading in all features other than statistical functions – a requirement we have never come across from a customer in 28 years of business.

The findings from the University’s study confirm the favorable feedback we continue to receive from our customers in the legal and judiciary industries. It makes sense. We have been helping automate this industry’s documents and communications for 28 years – all the while using our customers’ direct feedback to improve our software. We listen to our customers, and provide the functionality they want to use. The University’s findings reflect that through our high score.

"ActiveDocs is a powerful tool with a high degree of customization and reusability."
