ActiveDocs Limited, a world leader in the provisioning of document automation and compliance applications, today announced that The Response Group, the premier emergency response consulting and mapping company in the United States, has implemented ActiveDocs Opus Eclipse to automate generation of emergency response plans for incidents that can involve oil spills, hurricanes, and other natural disasters. ActiveDocs Opus minimizes user interaction in the creation process, thus ensuring document quality and regulatory compliance.

Michele Myers, ActiveDocs SVP Sales, North America said: “It has been very rewarding to work with the team of experts at The Response Group. The emergency response planning used to require not only the subject matter knowledge, but also long hours spent processing the data parameters, copying and pasting, and editing Microsoft Word documents. ActiveDocs Opus eliminated the tedium and minimized errors.”

Just one of The Response Group's Emergency Plan Templates can source data from over 15 disparate Database repositories. This includes Emergency Notification requirements for Federal, State, and local agencies; dynamically sourced maps, site diagrams, and containment area information. The superior integration capabilities of ActiveDocs Opus made it easy to access and retrieve information from multiple data sources in a variety of different information types. The sophisticated rules engine of ActiveDocs Opus determines the accurate wording, and the content of the plans ensuring that not only the data is correct, but that all compliance and regulatory requirements are met.

Despite the high level of complexity of these templates ActiveDocs US based services personnel achieved full automation of this process in only two weeks from the start of the project to live rollout.
