About the use case

ActiveDocs, the confident choice of large companies for document automation success, announced today that a spin-off company created by one of ActiveDocs’ clients was sold to an insurance market leader.

Our client, who created the spin-off, was a new entrant into this market. In a short time, the company successfully built a substantial client base and established technology superiority, in part by choosing ActiveDocs to underpin the automated generation of its high-value documents. ActiveDocs enabled the company to rely on efficient and secure automation for their end-to-end, quote-to-claim document processes.

Catherine Larsen, ActiveDocs SVP Sales for North America, said: “Our client saw a major opportunity for expansion; they utilized the flexibility of the ActiveDocs-based document automation system to rapidly enter a growing new market. The ActiveDocs product together with the services provided by our delivery teams resulted in the creation of automated infrastructure, fundamental for building a successful new insurance operations. The market recognized this advantage immediately.”

Through ActiveDocs automation, our client was able to save time immediately after deployment. The technology enabled the client’s business users to maintain and adjust templates without the need to write code. The resulting independence from IT was crucial for their confident entry into the new market. It helped quickly respond to the ongoing changes required by underwriters. Our client was able to fine-tune their product parameters on the fly, adjusting these as the specifics of the new and growing market were being discovered.

Having established a strong footprint in the market, the ActiveDocs client was approached by a market leader in order to acquire the new spin-off business. The spin-off was sold for a multi-billion dollar sum. The ActiveDocs technology used by the spin off was a significant part of the successful acquisition, and will enable the acquirer to evaluate, and possibly improve their high-value document processes.
