Hitachi ABB Power Grids, a joint venture resulting from ABB’s recent divestment of its Power Grids/Grid Integration Division to Hitachi, focuses on providing pioneering and digital technologies to primarily industrial customers. Just like ABB, the newly-formed company will use ActiveDocs document automation software to reliably generate high volumes of high-value business communications.

Toshiaki Higashihara, President and CEO of Hitachi, Ltd., said, "Hitachi will combine ABB’s strengths in the power grids business with our digital technology business to build an energy platform that contributes to innovating the energy business."

One of ABB’s core strengths is its excellent communication between global offices, and with its multinational customer base. "ABB has made significant progress in becoming a more customer-focused and simplified organization," said Peter Vaser, Chairman of the Board of Directors of ABB, in a recent press release.

As part of this organizational simplification and its outstanding customer service, for over a decade ABB has relied on ActiveDocs document production.

Using the automation system, the company can easily create high volumes of documents in 30+ languages, and deliver them across all continents. These high-value documents often include extremely precise language and product specifications, including graphs, charts, schematics, and diagrams. ActiveDocs document automation software has been instrumental in ensuring the consistent and efficient production of compliant, reliable, 100% accurate documents and communications.

While ActiveDocs continues to be the document solution of choice across ABB’s other divisions, Hitachi ABB Power Grids will follow suit, also leveraging the powerful document automation software to ensure high-value document and communication success. The company plans to use ActiveDocs to automatically generate electronic proposals, contracts, and product specifications, alongside other business-critical documents.
